She Did Not Protest. She Must Have Liked it.

Asking why a victim did not complain when a crime happened is the book’s definition of blaming the victim.

A man comes out of a bank. Suddenly, a robber shows him a gun and takes all his valuables -phone, money, and watch. When the man goes to the police station, the police ask him -Why didn’t you say anything then?

It sounds bizarre – Right? In sexual harassment incidents, women are asked the same question – Why did you not say anything then?

Really! The victim could be in shock or scared for her safety. Often, it takes time to process what really happened. The perpetrator refuses outright and even screams at the victim. Attackers look for the weakest target. At the most vulnerable moment. Etc, etc.. There are so many reasons why women often don’t say anything

If fighting with robbers is not your job, but of the police, then why are women responsible for fighting against molesters? Think about it!
