Objectifying and insensitivity: Yuvraj Singh’s non-profit, YouWeCan, is facing heavy backlash over a breast cancer awareness ad in Delhi Metro that used “oranges” as a metaphor for breasts.
Displayed with the slogan, “Check your oranges once a month,” the ad quickly went viral after a commuter posted it online. Many criticized it as shameful and objectifying, arguing that the message trivialized breast health.
Following the public outcry, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has removed the ad from its coaches, acknowledging the controversy.
