Priya Lashkare was going to drop her child to school in Pune. Instead, a drunk man inappropriately touched her. Like most of us have done at some point in time, she could have ignored it. But she chose to teach the man a lesson instead.
Result: This viral video is receiving mixed reactions. Many are supporting it with satisfaction, and some are calling it excessive violence. Both reactions are missing the real point, why is it unsafe for women? Not everyone can or should try to do it. There is a risk of violence and legal action. Neither is this legally sanctioned. Other than an outlier, this video doesn’t mean anything.
So let’s use it for what it really stands for: It’s almost 2025 and it’s still unsafe for women!
