Shame On Rapist Not The Victim

Shaming the victim reinforces a culture of silence, fear, and injustice, discouraging survivors from coming forward and seeking help. It shifts blame away from the perpetrator, allowing them to escape accountability while the victim suffers further.

This not only denies justice but also perpetuates harmful societal norms that excuse sexual violence. Instead, the rapist must be held responsible for their actions, as shame belongs to those who commit harm, not those who endure it. A culture that condemns rapists rather than victims fosters justice, empowers survivors, and helps prevent future assaults by making accountability the norm, not the exception.
