KIIT student Prakriti’s case has hurt our collective conscience. This case raises many issues : toxic relationships, abusive partner, personal data safety, blackmail, support and counselling for outstation students and how to de-incentivise cover ups.
One aspect is certainly the abetment charge against Prakriti’s ex-boyfriend Advik. We checked with legal experts and realised chances of conviction in this case are low. While passions are running high, keeping realistic expectations and understanding the law is important.
