This horror comes only weeks after Karnataka deputy superintendent of police (DYSP) of Madhugiri, B Ramachandra was caught behaving inappropriately with a woman inside the bathroom of his office in Madhugiri.
In a new case, a police constable sexually assaulted a 17-year-old rape victim on the pretext of helping her and is arrested by the Mico Layout police.
In the original FIR registered the victim’s mother stated that Vicky, a neighbor, promised to marry her daughter but repeatedly sexually assaulted her and later physically assaulted and threatened her. Constable Arun assured her to help her in the case and also to find a job.
Within one week, the constable took her to a hotel room thrice, where he allegedly raped her after making her consume alcohol, the new FIR states. The constable threatened the victim, saying he had private videos of her and would release them on social media if she told anyone about the incident.
The Mico Layout police said the duo was booked under POCSO Act.
