Self-Styled Preacher Bajinder Singh Sentenced to Life in 2018 Rape Case
Pastor Bajinder Singh, known for performing miracles on stage has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a Mohali court in Punjab for a 2018 rape case. The 42-year-old was convicted under IPC Sections 376 (rape), 323 (causing hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation) after a woman accused him of luring her with false promises, raping her, and threatening to leak a video of the assault. Five co-accused were acquitted. Singh, who runs The Church of Glory and Wisdom and boasts 3.74 million YouTube subscribers, also faces ongoing probes for assault and sexual harassment.
