Shalini Singhal, 30, has been sitting outside her in-laws’ house in Muzaffarnagar’s A to Z Colony since March 30, after being denied entry by her husband, Pranav Singhal, 32, and his family, allegedly over a Rs 50 lakh dowry demand.
Married on February 2, the couple honeymooned in Indonesia before tensions arose. Shalini claims she was locked out after visiting her parents for Holi, while Pranav denies the dowry allegations, citing safety fears linked to her threats. Police await a formal complaint to act, says CO Rupali Rao.
