Shocking: Mangaluru KSRTC Conductor Arrested for Harassing Woman on Bus
A Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus conductor, Pradeep Kashappa Naikar, 35, was arrested for sexually harassing a female passenger on a moving bus. The incident was captured in a viral video showing Naikar inappropriately touching a woman who was dozing off. The video, filmed by another passenger, sparked widespread outrage on social media, prompting swift police action.
Police confirmed that an FIR was registered for assault and sexual harassment under BNS. Naikar was remanded to 15 days of judicial custody. KSRTC suspended the conductor within 15 minutes of receiving the video, and a disciplinary inquiry is underway.
