In a first of its kind, Indian foreign secretary Vikram Misri was accompanied by two women officers representing the Indian Army & Air Force during a briefing on Indian cross-border retaliation against terror infrastructure in Pakistan.
Colonel Sofia Qureshi hails from an illustrious armed forces background in Gujarat, whereas Wing Commander Vyomika Singh is a helicopter pilot with over 2500 flying hours.
The operation launched by India against terror infrastructure in Pakistan follows a horrific terror attack at Pahalgam, where 26 men were killed by terrorists in front of their families. Targets were identified by religion, but one Muslim who resisted was also killed. By using the name Operation Sindoor and using two female officers, India has certainly tried to make a point. What do you think?
