Kanpur Student Molested in Broad Daylight, Accused Arrested After Encounter
On July 16, 2025, a Class 12 student in Kanpur’s Chakeri area was molested by a masked biker, Aditya Gupta, who touched her inappropriately outside a bookstore. The horrific incident, captured on CCTV and widely shared online, sparked outrage.
The accused fled but was arrested on July 17 after a police encounter, sustaining a leg injury. He is charged under the POCSO and Arms Act. At his arrest, the culprit confessed.
