In a horrifying case of road rage caught on camera in Jammu’s Green Belt Park area, a scooty rider was not only knocked down by a speeding Mahindra Thar—but was then deliberately run over again just seconds later.
The incident unfolded on a single-lane road where the Thar, in an attempt to recklessly overtake an SUV, swerved into the wrong lane and collided with the scooty. The rider, on his correct side of the road, was thrown off balance and fell.
But what happened next turned a reckless act into an almost criminally intentional one:
Within 3 seconds, the Thar driver reversed the vehicle and rammed into the man again—this time hitting him squarely on the back.
Surveillance footage shows the driver stepping out, pointing at the injured man lying helplessly on the road—and then coldly driving away.
Bystanders stepped in, rushed the man to the hospital, and alerted police. The victim is currently unconscious and receiving treatment at GMC Jammu. Meanwhile, the police have seized the vehicle and detained the car’s owner. The actual driver is on the run, and a manhunt is underway.
This is not just a traffic violation.
It’s attempted murder on public roads—and a reminder that unchecked road rage is becoming a brutal reality on Indian streets.
