On July 29, 2025, a 17-year-old girl was abducted in Darbhanga, Bihar, while returning from her family’s shop, when 21-year-old Hizbul Rehman alias Arju forcibly took her on a motorcycle, as captured on CCTV.
The victim’s family alleges that on July 27, Arju abused her at the shop, tore her clothes, and stole Rs 2,000, prompting a police complaint on July 28 that was not addressed.
Police then rescued the girl within 19 hours from a village house and arrested Arju.
