MP Horror: Student Sets Teacher on Fire Over Obsession
Narsinghpur, MP : An 18-year-old former student, Suryansh Kochar, allegedly attacked his 26-year-old teacher by pouring petrol on her and setting her ablaze at her home.
Police reports suggest the assault stemmed from a one-sided obsession after she reprimanded him and later complained to authorities about his behavior.
Investigators revealed that tensions escalated after an incident on Independence Day, when the teacher reportedly pulled Kochar up for making an inappropriate comment on her saree during the school celebrations. Enraged by the complaint and her refusal to engage, Kochar allegedly planned the attack days later.
The victim sustained around 20–25% burn injuries and is currently recovering at Jabalpur Medical College. The accused has been arrested and booked under serious charges, including attempt to murder. Police say further investigation into his motive and planning is underway.
