Can foreigners shame us into adopting better civic sense? Another one has tried.
A group of foreign nationals living in Gurugram recently launched a cleanliness drive focused on cleaning roads and drains across the city. Serbian citizen Lazar, who initiated the campaign just ten days ago, encourages residents to keep at least a two-meter area around their homes and shops clean. Lazar highlighted the beauty of India and the need for people to care not only about their immediate surroundings but also public spaces, stressing that this simple act can contribute significantly to the country’s cleanliness.
French national Matilda, who also participated, expressed her admiration for India’s spirit but lamented the persistent litter problem in Gurugram. Their efforts come at a time when the Haryana government has renewed its commitment to improving cleanliness and drainage systems in the city, inviting citizens to partner with officials in this mission. Together, these initiatives aim to foster a cleaner, more beautiful Gurugram for all.
