3 am, a PG Room, and Still No Safety — Bengaluru Woman Assaulted
A 21-year-old woman was assaulted and robbed inside her paying guest accommodation in Bengaluru’s SG Palya locality during the early hours of Friday. Police said the intruder, wearing a mask, entered her unlocked room around 3 am while she was asleep. Mistaking him for her roommate at first, the woman realised something was wrong when he began touching her inappropriately.
When she resisted, the man allegedly pulled out a knife, threatened her to stay silent, and fled with about ₹2,500 from her cupboard. CCTV footage later showed the victim chasing him through the corridor, during which he attacked her again before escaping.
A case has been registered and police have launched a manhunt to track down the accused.
