In a shocking incident in Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh, a man tied his wife to a wooden pole and beat her with a belt. The woman, Bhagyamma, is a mother of four and works hard at a bakery to support her family.
Her husband, Balraju, who usually lives with his second wife in Hyderabad, returned to the village and demanded money from Bhagyamma for his medical treatment. When she refused, saying she had to care for their four children, he got angry. Believing that she might have an affair, Balraju tied her hands and legs to the pole and brutally assaulted her.
Neighbours tried to help, but the assault continued. The attack was recorded on video and quickly went viral on social media. After seeing the video, police registered a case and began searching for Balraju, who is currently on the run. Four people, including the husband, have been taken into custody for their involvement.
