Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh – October 4, 2025 – In a remarkable act of bravery during the bustling Navratri celebrations, a young woman returning home after participating in Garba dances near Janaki Raman College was struck by a vehicle, sustaining severe leg injuries that left her unable to walk with severe pain.
Amid a crowd of bystanders who offered no immediate help, Traffic Constable Jitendra Dubey, stationed nearby for festival traffic management, rushed to the scene without hesitation.
Dubey hoisted the injured woman onto his shoulders and sprinted to a private hospital, covering the distance amid heavy festive traffic that would have delayed an ambulance. The video of this heroic rescue has gone viral on social media, earning widespread praise for the constable’s quick thinking and dedication, highlighting the vital role of alert law enforcement during high-traffic events.
