A madrasa in Lodhipura, outskirts of Moradabad, refused to let a 13-year-old girl continue her studies, unless her family provided a virginity certificate.
The father of the girl stated in his complaint that his daughter returned home after the examination break. The family then brought her back to the madrasa, but the administration blocked her re-enrollment, insisting the certificate was needed to confirm her eligibility.
The father filed a police complaint. He stated that staff misbehaved with the family when they objected to the demand. Eventually, the madrasa issued a Transfer Certificate (TC) and removed her name from the rolls.
The madrasa management denied the claims. A senior Moradabad police official confirmed an investigation is underway and action wild follow based on the findings. No legal charges or FIR details have been announced yet. The student’s identity is protected.
