In a video, Pushpavati said: “My life has been filled with pain and distress since my marriage. From the beginning, my husband’s family demanded dowry. My husband frequently stayed away from me, and when I expressed my desire to have children, he postponed it indefinitely. When I gently urged him to undergo medical tests, he reacted with anger and shouted at me. My in-laws were verbally abusive and, at times, physically violent. I felt isolated, humiliated, and trapped in a situation where my dignity and well-being were constantly undermined.”
She even demanded her body burial in husband’s house. The case was registered at Doddaballapur Women station, where Venu and his father were detained.
