A viral CCTV clip has laid bare the harassment faced by women in the service industry, showing Aman Agarwal, son of a wealthy jeweller, drunkenly manhandling a female hotel receptionist in Jhansi.
The footage captures him gripping her hand, pulling her into an unwanted embrace, and attempting to hug and kiss her during a late-night confrontation. The shocking video spread rapidly across social media, prompting public outrage and pushing the survivor to file a police complaint.
Jhansi’s Nawabad police have since arrested Agarwal and begun legal proceedings, while the exact charges under assault and outraging modesty laws are still being determined.
