Jalandhar Gang-Rape : 14-Year-Old Minor Arrested, Joins Three Adults in Custody

A a 14-year-old boy was arrested on Tuesday, bringing the total number of accused in custody to four. The incident occurred on the intervening night of November 23 and 24, 2025, in a rented accommodation at a farmhouse owned by an NRI family in Lohian village, Shahkot sub-division of Jalandhar district, about 40 km from the district headquarters.

The victims are a 36-year-old widow from Bihar and her 18-year-old married daughter, who has a five-month-old child. The accused barged into the secluded house in a field, assaulted the women with sharp-edged weapons, and locked the daughter’s husband and infant in a separate room. They then dragged the widow and her daughter to another room, where the gang-rape took place, before robbing the family of valuables and fleeing.

The three adult accused—19-year-old Saajan, 18-year-old Arshpreet Singh, and Rocky, all residents of Lohian—were arrested earlier. A case has been registered at Lohian Police Station under Sections 64 (rape), 70(1) (gang-rape), and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The minor will be prosecuted as per Juvenile Justice Board rules.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Jalandhar rural) Harvinder Singh Virk confirmed the arrest and stated that the investigation is progressing swiftly, with all necessary actions underway.
