Kamakshipalya police in Bengaluru have arrested a man identified as Vinod for serially sexually harassing women in the city.
The accused allegedly stalked women moving alone after 6 pm, targeting those walking or riding two-wheelers. He would wait for riders to slow down near potholes, run towards them, forcibly grab them, and behave obscenely. These acts had been ongoing for over a month.
A specific incident occurred on December 2 near Srinivasa Circle in Sunkadakatte, where Vinod assaulted a woman riding a two-wheeler. Her husband, following in a car, witnessed the harassment but the accused escaped.
The victim dialed the emergency number 112, alerting Hoysala police who assisted in tracing and arresting Vinod. He is now in custody.
Police said further investigation is underway to identify additional victims or incidents linked to the accused.
