An instant of anger behind the wheel can destroy lives — road rage is not just reckless, it’s deadly.
A road rage incident in Pune left a 28-year-old woman seriously injured after a minor traffic dispute turned violent. The incident occurred on the Katraj–Dehu Road bypass when a car carrying a couple had an argument with three men riding a scooter over honking and overtaking. The men allegedly chased the car, blocked it on the road, abused the couple, and pelted stones at the vehicle, shattering its windows.
During the attack, glass shards struck the woman’s eye, causing a severe injury. She was immediately taken to a hospital, where doctors performed surgery, and her eyesight remains at risk. Police have registered a case at the Ravet police station, identified the accused, and stated that an investigation is currently underway.
