Faridabad, Haryana: A 25-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped in a moving van in Faridabad late Monday night, following which police arrested two accused.
According to police, the incident began around midnight when the woman, unable to find transport, accepted a lift from two men in a van on the Gurgaon–Faridabad road. Instead of taking her home, the accused allegedly drove the vehicle through isolated areas and sexually assaulted her inside the moving van for nearly three hours.
At around 3 a.m., the woman was reportedly thrown out of the moving vehicle near Raja Chowk in the SGM Nagar area. She sustained serious facial injuries and was later rushed to a hospital by her sister after managing to make a phone call for help.
Based on her complaint, police registered a case at the Kotwali police station and launched a search operation. The two accused were arrested, and the van used in the crime was seized. Further investigation is underway, while the victim continues to receive medical treatment.
