Every girl has the right to go to school and return home without fear, but unfortunately, many face harassment and stalking while commuting on roads to and from school or college. Such incidents threaten their freedom, safety, and mental well-being, often discouraging them from pursuing education freely.
In a recent case from Hassan district in Karnataka, an unidentified man stalked a girl in broad daylight. The incident occurred in Shanti Nagar, shortly after the girl alighted from her school bus in the afternoon. The man followed her persistently, creating a frightening situation for the minor.
The girl’s mother filed a complaint at the Police Station. Police are now using the video evidence to identify and trace the accused.
