In a shocking incident Hyderabad, a 24-year-old man has been arrested for injecting his HIV-infected blood into a young woman after she refused to marry him.
According to police, the accused—working as a transport supervisor in an IT company—was earlier in talks to marry the 22-year-old woman. However, the marriage proposal was called off after it was revealed that he was HIV-positive.
Unable to accept the rejection, the man reportedly went to the woman’s house on March 11 carrying a syringe filled with his own blood and forcibly injected it into her.
The victim later fell ill and was rushed to a hospital for tests. Following a complaint by her family, police registered a case of attempted murder and took the accused into custody.
