A nurse named Kajal was found dead in Gurugram on the night of March 17, just four months after her marriage to Arun Sharma, a radiologist. The couple, who met while working at a private hospital, married in November 2025 following a romantic relationship. However, Kajal’s family alleges that the marriage quickly soured due to relentless physical and mental torture over dowry demands, culminating in a fatal confrontation at their residence.
Authorities took Arun Sharma into custody after Kajal was found unconscious with a suspicious syringe nearby. During police interrogation, Sharma reportedly confessed to killing his wife by administering a poisonous injection. Gurugram Police have officially registered a case of dowry death and are currently awaiting post-mortem results to confirm the exact cause of death as the investigation continues.
