Victims of harassment often freeze or feel too embarrassed to react in the moment, a response rooted in fear, shock, and societal conditioning. Unfortunately, society tends to unfairly judge these individuals, questioning why they didn’t fight back or speak out immediately. This victim-blaming mentality only deepens their trauma, making it harder for them to seek help.
It’s crucial to understand that every survivor’s response to harassment is valid, and the focus should be on holding the perpetrator accountable, not the victim.
