When rejection turns deadly:
In a shocking incident from Karnataka’s Belagavi, a nurse was attacked with a machete inside a private hospital by a man after she repeatedly rejected his marriage proposals. The accused, identified as Prakash Jadhav, was captured on CCTV entering the hospital and assaulting the nurse at the reception counter. The woman bravely fights the attack.
Jadhav, who had been harassing the nurse and pressuring her to marry him, had even approached her father, who firmly rejected the proposal and warned him to stay away. Unable to handle the rejection, Jadhav resorted to violence, leaving the nurse injured. Tragically, the trauma of the attack took a toll on her father, who passed away shortly after the incident.
The nurse is recovering from her injuries, and the accused has been arrested. The grave issue of men’s inability to handle rejection often leads to devastating consequences for women and their families.
