Speeding SUV kills woman constable in Patna; three arrested.
A 25-year-old woman constable, Komal Kumari, was killed after a speeding SUV bearing a BJP flag, ran over a police team during a night checking drive in Patna. Two other officers were seriously injured. The vehicle didn’t stop.
Komal, the sole breadwinner of her family, was attached to Bihar Police’s Dial 112 unit. Her grieving mother said, “I don’t have any son. She was the one holding this family together.”
Three of the four men in the SUV have been arrested. The vehicle was seen carrying a BJP flag, however the driver — Nikhil Raj, is not an office bearer, as per last known information.
A murder case has been registered and police say they’re pressing for a speedy trial.
