Alarming Misconduct by Aspiring Lawyers: Meerut Students Face Charges in Daylight Assault
On December 10, 2025, in Meerut’s Abu Lane market, four final-year LLB students from Meerut College allegedly molested a 25-year-old woman and vandalised the car she was travelling in. The incident began when three youths on a scooter tried to overtake the victim’s car near Sadar Bazaar, leading to a minor road dispute. The trio blocked the vehicle, called three more accomplices, and chased the car to Nishat Cinema area.
The accused surrounded the car, one climbed onto the bonnet and smashed the windshield, while others broke the side mirrors, rear glass, and other parts. The woman was molested during the attack as the group hurled abuses and threats.
Police arrested the four law students on December 11 after registering an FIR under BNS sections, including attempt to murder (109), rioting, criminal intimidation and mischief, while two more accused are absconding.
