Farooq, **lled his wife and two minor daughters and buried their bodies inside his house. The family had been missing for nearly a week, raising suspicions among villagers.
The village head informed the police, following which Farooq was detained for questioning. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime and revealed that he had buried the bodies of his wife Tahira (35) and daughters Afreen (14) and Sahreen (6) in a pit inside the house. Police later recovered the bodies and sent them for post-mortem examination.
Investigations revealed that Farooq was angry with his wife for leaving home without wearing a burqa and had accused her of harming his honour. After an earlier separation, he reportedly brought his wife and daughters back home. Police also recovered a firearm and cartridges believed to have been used in the crime. The accused is currently in custody, and further investigation is ongoing.
