Shocking incident at Bengaluru’s Sandhya Cinema Theatre in Madiwala:
A minor boy was caught allegedly filming women inside the ladies’ restroom around 9:30 PM on Sunday. Alert patrons spotted him with a mobile phone and immediately raised an alarm.
Police rushed to the scene after an emergency alert, rescued the juvenile from an angry crowd, and detained him for questioning. His phone was seized, and authorities are probing if others were involved while also questioning the theatre management.
As the accused is a juvenile, action will proceed under the Juvenile Justice Act, which prioritizes rehabilitation and reformation over punishment for minors. The law focuses on the child’s best interests, often involving counseling and placement in observation homes rather than adult jails.
