In a tragic incident in Ghaziabad’s Bharat City, three sisters—Nishika (16), Prachi (14), and Pakhi (12)—died after jumping from the ninth floor of their apartment building.
The sisters, who were reportedly inseparable, had become deeply addicted to Korean culture and online games. The digital obsession with Korean media began during the pandemic.
Following their parents’ recent decision to restrict their mobile phone usage, the girls locked themselves in their room around 2:00 AM and jumped from the balcony one after another.
Police recovered an eight-page diary and a suicide note with apologies to their father, Chetan Kumar.
Authorities are still investigating and have sent the bodies for post-mortem while probing all factors, including the influence of gaming, psychological stress, and family dynamics.
