In a distressing case from Gujarat’s Kheda district, police have arrested eight men for the gang-rape and systematic blackmail of a minor girl. The survivor, 17 now, was lured into a relationship by the primary accused, Parvez Pathan, approximately two years ago. After gaining her trust, Pathan and eight other associates engaged in a conspiracy to sexually exploit her repeatedly, with the abuse reportedly continuing from early 2023 through 2025. To ensure her silence, the group recorded explicit videos of the victim and used them to blackmail her, threatening both her life and the public release of the footage.
The horrific ordeal only came to an end when the girl’s family learned of the abuse and reported the matter to the authorities. Police have registered offences under the BNS and POCSO Act, covering gang-rape, criminal intimidation, and conspiracy. While eight of the suspects—identified as Parvez, Mahir Khan, Faizan Khan, Taufiq Khan, Ayan Khan, Moin Khan, Marukh Khan, and Salman Khan Pathan—are currently in custody, a ninth suspect remains at large.
