In a shocking incident from Sangrur, Punjab, a husband locked his wife in a room for four years, subjecting her to continuous physical torture and starvation. The drug-addicted husband, identified as Johnny, who has a criminal background including robberies, kept her imprisoned even after the birth of their two-month-old child. The woman was regularly beaten for money and denied basic necessities.
When the victim could no longer endure the ordeal, she shouted for help through the ventilator. Local residents alerted the police, who broke open the lock and rescued both the mother and child.
