Despite This Appeal, Shimla Police Failed To Save Manisha

Shimla’s Saraswati Paradise International Public School director Manisha (Meenakshi) Mittal was shot d*ad outside the school premises on Saturday evening, days after a Facebook Live video in which she had publicly claimed that her life was under threat. The attackers opened fire and fled the scene, while police have launched a m*rder investigation and formed special teams to trace those responsible.

The case has drawn widespread attention because of a Facebook Live video recorded by Mittal weeks before her m*rdee. In the video, she said that a long-running dispute over the management of the school had escalated into threats and intimidation. Mittal claimed that a man named Hemang Nikhil had threatened her and that she feared for her safety. She said she had repeatedly approached police officials, including senior officers, seeking protection and informing them about the threats. According to her statements, she had warned authorities that her life was in danger and requested immediate intervention.

In the same video, Mittal said that despite her complaints, no adequate action was taken. She claimed she had received direct death threats, saying she was told that she would be killed. She also alleged harassment, including abusive messages and attempts to target her family. Police have not officially confirmed any motive so far but have said that all angles, including the allegations made by Mittal in her Facebook Live video, are being thoroughly investigated.
