In India about 33% of cultivators and 47% of laborers are women. Programs such as Drone Didi are giving these women the opportunity to learn new skills, break barriers, and achieve financial independence.
Under this scheme by the central government, 15000 self-help groups are being trained with the usage of drones for efficient and safer fertilizer spraying, crop monitoring, and seed sowing. The scheme will lead to higher incomes and integration into the agri supply chain for these women.
