In Jahangirpuri, Delhi, a tragic incident unfolded on the evening of August 4, 2025, when 15-year-old Sumbul was fatally shot near a busy market area. She was out with a friend when the accused, 20-year-old Aryan, reportedly approached her and opened fire, hitting her in the face. Despite the presence of several bystanders, no one intervened during the attack. Sumbul was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
According to family and friends, Aryan had been stalking and harassing Sumbul for several weeks prior to the shooting. Their relationship had reportedly turned abusive, with repeated threats and intimidation leading up to this tragic outcome. The accused is known to the victim and remains at large following the incident.
The Delhi Police have registered a murder case and launched a manhunt to apprehend Aryan. Authorities are thoroughly examining CCTV footage from the area and interviewing witnesses to gather more evidence.
