Vaishali: A wedding function turned violent in Vaishali after a dispute broke out between the bride and groom’s families.
After the Jaimala ceremony some men from the groom’s side entered the bride’s room without permission. Members of the bride’s family objected to this, following which an argument broke out.. The situation quickly escalated into a physical clash. Several individuals were injured, and vehicles parked outside the venue were also damaged.
During the chaos, the groom made a threatening remark towards the bride on stage, saying he would “fix her after marriage.” Following this, the bride refused to proceed with the wedding.
Police reached the spot, controlled the situation, and took members of both families to the police station. After discussions, the marriage was officially called off. Reports also indicate that documents raised concerns about the bride possibly being a minor, making the case legally sensitive.
