In a tragic incident in Chennai’s Nanganallur, 42-year-old Instagram influencer and entrepreneur Nagalakshmi was mu*dered by her husband, 52-year-old Subramanian. Nagalakshmi, the founder of Sree Sai Silks with over 3 lakh followers, had been living separately from her husband for nearly two years due to a long history of domestic violence, fueled by his alcohol addiction and unemployment. Recently, Subramanian returned from Madurai and reportedly apologized for his past behavior, convincing Nagalakshmi to reconcile under the guise of starting over.
The facade of peace shattered on April 27 when a fresh argument broke out. Reports suggest that despite his claims of reform, Subramanian continued to harbor deep-seated resentment toward Nagalakshmi’s successful business and social media presence. Their younger son, a dentistry student, rushed home after receiving a disturbing message from his father, only to discover his mother b*utally m*rdered and his father ha*ging in another room.
Police have shifted the bodies to Chengalpattu Government Hospital for post-mortem examinations as they investigate the final dispute.
