A 58-year-old woman with a history of heart problems was ass*ulted inside the CT scan room at Panipat Civil Hospital. She later d*ed during treatment at PGIMS Rohtak. Police and hospital officials confirmed the incident.
The woman went to the hospital with severe pain. Doctors sent her for an X-ray and CT scan. At the scan centre, which is run by a private company, a security guard named Rakesh Kumar asked her family to wait outside. He then assaulted her inside the room. She could not fight back because of her weak health.
Police registered a case and arrested Rakesh Kumar. The health department has started its own inquiry. She was moved to Rohtak hospital in a critical state and d*ed early Tuesday. Doctors are still waiting for full medical reports to confirm the exact cause.
