Lal Chand Meena, principal of a government school in Thanagazi, Alwar (Rajasthan), has been suspended after videos of him bathing in Bhadraj Dam with students went viral. The outing, involving around 200 students, took place on August 15, right after the school’s Independence Day programme.
Authorities called the videos “objectionable” and flagged a violation of conduct rules for public servants; a departmental inquiry is now underway.
The dam reportedly had around 11 feet of water and bathing there was prohibited due to dr*wning risk, raising serious safety concerns alongside the conduct issue.
