Balraj, who abducted, ass*ulted & m*rdered a 6yo girl in Greater Noida, has been reported as a serial offender.
CCTV footage showed the 45-year-old from Bulandshahr taking the child into a house and later walking out with a sack. He was arrested by police on 28 August and reportedly admitted to the crime.
He had a long criminal history and spent 8 years in jail from 2017 to 2025 for earlier cases involving the ass*ult & m*rder of 8yo boy and a 70yo woman. After his release on bail, police said he again targeted vulnerable people, including animals, children and the elderly. Records also show multiple cases of theft, assault and other offences against him over the years. His family had disowned him long ago, and he had been living with another man he met in jail.
A day after his arrest, Balraj lost his life in an encounter with UP police. Officers stated that he pulled out a hidden weapon and tried to open fire while in custody. The other man staying with him was also arrested for assisting in the crime.
