NCM India , a men’s rights activist group, recently posted a video featuring members holding a banner that reads “Long Live Patriarchy.” The banner claims patriarchy “protects women, children, elders, family, society and country.” The post coincided with their planned protest demanding gender-neutral laws and the creation of a National Commission for Men.
No official National Commission for Men currently exists in India. The group continues to push for one while framing traditional patriarchy as protective rather than oppressive.
