While such videos assuage our anger, the reality is that they only reflect our failure to deal with such issues. This situation should not have arisen in the first place.
In Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj, a dance teacher was arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. He was accused and beaten by parents for inappropriately touching 2nd standard students by taking them to the bus parking or the toilets. The dance teacher was identified as Arjun Jaiswal.
Police Officer Asha Singh issued a statement “Taking cognisance of the information about a dance teacher of a school situated in Thana Kotwali area doing obscene acts with school children, a case was immediately registered under relevant sections and the concerned dance teacher has been arrested, legal action is underway.”
