In a shocking turn to the Vivek Vihar murder case, Delhi Police have arrested five men, including the victim’s husband, after a 35-year-old woman was found dead and stuffed inside a bed box last week.
Police say the woman walked in on her husband, his friend, and their landlord in an “objectionable position.” Fearing exposure, the trio allegedly throttled and bludgeoned her to death.
The victim, originally from Ludhiana, had come to Delhi with her husband and was staying in a rented flat in Satyam Enclave. Her body was found wrapped in a blanket and stuffed in a trolley bag inside the bed storage.
The murder came to light after neighbours noticed a foul smell. The landlord, husband, his friend, and two others—including the husband’s uncle who helped hide the body—have all been arrested.
