IIITDM Jabalpur student detained for secretly filming roommate and sharing videos with boyfriend.
A B.Tech student at IIITDM Jabalpur was detained for filming her senior roommate in the hostel bathroom, police confirmed. The incident came to light after a 4th-year student filed a complaint with institute authorities.
Following the complaint, the hostel warden checked mobile phones of all girl inmates and found objectionable videos on a second-year student’s phone. Police said the accused had recorded the videos in the hostel bathroom.
Police confirmed the detention and said an FIR will be filed. A complaint was also lodged at Dumna police outpost by other students.
IIITDM’s in-charge director Aparajita Ojha stated that a three-member committee has been formed to probe the matter and strict action will be taken based on the findings.
