Patient Forced to Undress, Assaulted by Bengaluru Dermatologist

21-year-old women, was sexually harassed in a private clinic of a dermatologist in Bengaluru. The accused, Dr. Praveen Kumar, was remanded to judicial custody after the woman filed a complaint detailing a 30-minute ordeal.
On Saturday evening, the survivor visited alone for a skin infection. She had previously visited the clinic with her father, but this time he could not accompany her. Dr. Praveen allegedly locked the door and began inappropriate touching under the pretext of examination. He hugged and kissed her multiple times despite her resistance, forcing her to undress and suggesting to book a hotel room.
The woman escaped and informed her family, who gathered with local residents for a protest outside the clinic. Ashok Nagar police arrested Dr. Praveen, who denied the allegations, claiming the patient misunderstood his actions. The case was registered under Bharat Nyaya Sanhita, sections 75 (sexual harassment) and 79 (insulting the modesty of a woman). add that she didn’t visited for the 1st time , earlier she had gone with father this time alone .
